Terms and privacy

The shop's rules and what we do with your data, in plain words. Last updated: [date]

01Who we are

The brigny.com shop belongs to [Company name], tax number (NIPC) [NIPC], registered office at [Registered office]. [If a company: share capital and commercial registry]

We don't have a phone number or email address yet. You can reach us from the Contact page and we'll reply to the email you leave.

02Orders and payment

Choose your pieces or experiences, fill in what you want engraved or what we need to know, add everything to the cart and pay online. You see the total, shipping included, before you pay.

Payment is handled by Stripe, a secure payment service: we never see or store your card details. Your order is placed once the payment is confirmed. You get a reference and can follow the order on its own page. If you need an invoice with a tax number, add it to your order.

Payments are currently in test mode: no real charges are made.

03Prices and shipping

  • Prices are in euros and include VAT at the applicable rate.
  • We ship pieces by CTT Expresso to mainland Portugal only (not to the Azores, Madeira or abroad). Shipping costs €7 and is free on orders of €60 or more.
  • We make each piece after payment and deliver within [lead time, in working days]. Unless we agree otherwise, the law requires delivery within 30 days at most.
  • Until it reaches you, your order travels at our risk.
  • Experiences (wedding website, guest photo missions and Nuptia Bot) have no shipping costs: we make and deliver them online.

04Changing your mind

Personalised pieces

Pieces with an engraving, or made to your specifications, are made especially for you. That is why they carry no right of withdrawal (Decree-Law 24/2014, article 17(1)(c)). This does not affect the guarantee: if they arrive faulty, they are covered (see Guarantee).

Pieces with no personalisation

If a piece has nothing personalised by you, you have 14 days from the day you receive it to cancel, without giving a reason. Tell us through the contact form (you can use the model withdrawal form in the annex to Decree-Law 24/2014), send the piece back within 14 days and we refund what you paid, including the original shipping, within 14 days. We may wait to receive the piece before refunding. Return shipping is at your expense.

Experiences

The wedding website, the missions and Nuptia Bot are services we carry out for your wedding after you order. You have 14 days from your order to cancel. If you expressly ask us to start before those 14 days are over and then cancel, you pay for the part of the work already done (article 15). Once the service has been fully provided, the right of withdrawal no longer applies (article 17(1)(a)).

05The experiences

  • Wedding website: we build your wedding's website with the content and choices you send us, including RSVPs.
  • Guest photo missions: we set up your wedding's photo mission game, the QR code cards, TV mode, the gallery and the final album.
  • Nuptia Bot: we load the assistant with your wedding's information, on a page of its own or inside your website.
  • We deliver each experience within [lead time after we receive your content] and it stays online until [period, for example X months after the wedding].

06Guarantee

Every piece, personalised or not, carries the 3-year legal guarantee of conformity from delivery (Decree-Law 84/2021). If a piece arrives faulty or different from what you ordered, write to us: you can ask for it to be repaired or replaced and, where the law allows, for a price reduction or a refund.

The experiences must work as we describe them. If they don't, you have the same rights.

07Complaints and disputes

You can complain in the Electronic Complaints Book or write to us directly.

If we can't reach an agreement, you can turn to a consumer alternative dispute resolution body (Law 144/2015), such as CNIACC, the National Centre for Consumer Dispute Information and Arbitration (www.cniacc.pt), or the arbitration centre for your area. The full list is on the Consumer Portal (www.consumidor.gov.pt). [Alternative dispute resolution body we have joined, if any]

Portuguese law applies.

08Privacy

Your data is handled by [Company name], NIPC [NIPC], registered office at [Registered office]. For any request about your data, use the contact form.

What we collect and why

  • Orders: name, email, phone, delivery address, tax number (if you give it), notes and what you ask us to engrave or tell us about the wedding. We use this to make, deliver and invoice your order (performing the contract and legal obligations).
  • Payments: handled by Stripe. We only keep the payment reference.
  • Contact messages: name, email, subject and message, so we can reply (at your request).
  • Wedding websites: what the couple send us for the site (names, date, venues, text and photos) and, for RSVPs, the guests' names, how many are coming and any dietary needs they write. This lets the couple organise the wedding (the contract with the couple). If a dietary note reveals health data, such as an allergy, we only use it so the couple know about it, which is why you wrote it.
  • Guest photo missions: the name each guest types, the photos they send and their votes, for the game, the gallery and the couple's album. Photos are visible to everyone playing at the same wedding and to the couple.
  • Nuptia Bot: the guests' questions and the answers, so the assistant can reply and we can add whatever it's missing. Please don't write sensitive data in your questions.
  • Statistics: we count visits with Vercel Analytics, without cookies and without identifying visitors.

We need your order details to fulfil it: without them we can't deliver. We make no automated decisions that affect you.

Who we share it with

Only with the providers that help us run the shop and process data on our behalf: Vercel (hosting, photos and statistics), Neon (database), Stripe (payments) and [Nuptia Bot language model provider]. CTT receive the name, address and phone number to deliver the pieces. Some of these providers are based outside the European Union: in those cases, transfers follow the GDPR safeguards (an adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses). We never sell data.

How long we keep it

  • Orders and invoices: for the legal retention period for invoicing records (10 years).
  • Contact messages: [2 years].
  • Wedding websites, RSVPs, mission photos and Nuptia Bot questions: up to [12 months] after the wedding date, or less if the couple ask.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, and object to its processing, through the contact form. We reply within one month. If you think we haven't handled your data properly, you can complain to the Portuguese data protection authority, CNPD (www.cnpd.pt).

Cookies

We only use what the site needs to work: your cart is stored in your browser and restricted areas use session cookies. Some services, such as the missions game, may store an identifier in your browser to recognise you. We use no advertising or third-party cookies.

Anything marked like this is still to be filled in.
